This is Brianne “Breezy” Bochenek. On October 7, 2011, at the young age of 9 years old, Breezy was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer called Osteosarcoma. She made the brave decision to amputate her leg just above the knee to ensure the best chance of surviving this particularly aggressive form of cancer. After enduring months of chemotherapy, Breezy has embraced her life as an amputee.
Today Breezy is on the move. She loves the outdoors and enjoys running, biking and swimming! Breezy also spends time giving back to those organization that made the most impact on her during her journey. Whether it be speaking or singing at fundraisers, helping out with dream room makeovers with Special Spaces, or participating in CAF mobility clinic along side other challenged Athletes, Breezy is passionate about paying it forward. Breezy is determined to meet life’s challenges head on, and in everything she does, do it wholeheartedly.
